Glasgow Welcomes Christmas Markets Return

The traditional festive markets have taken residence in Glasgow’s city centre as the countdown to Christmas begins.

With over twenty stalls and markets and food ranging from Ecuador to Russia, George Square is filled with shoppers and tourists looking to get in the Christmas spirit.

The markets have been an annual treat for the people of Glasgow since their inception over ten years ago.

As well as being a hive of Christmas activities, the markets also offer educational tours for primary schools of the city, allowing children to learn and experience new cultures first hand.

With the markets staying until the end of December, there is plenty of time to go out and find a bargain at the Christmas markets this year.
