Ronnie Corbett dies aged 85

Scottish actor Ronnie Corbett, best know as one half of double act The Two Ronnies, has passed away at the age of 85.

His publicist announced that the entertainer, who has suffered from ill health in recent years, died this morning.

Corbett formed one half of the beloved double act alongside Ronnie Barker and continued to be a common fixture on British television following Barker’s death in 2005.

Tributes have already begun to flood in on Twitter for the beloved comic, with David Walliams simply tweeting “Goodnight #RonnieCorbett.”

Other tributes include comedian Jack Whitehall and presenter Gary Lineker.
