Glasgow’s Sighthill Stones are moving to a new spot as part of a £250 million regeneration plan in the area.
Today marked the temporary removal of The Stone Circle, with author Duncan Lunan in appearance who organised the stones when they were first placed in 1979 by the Glasgow Parks Department Astronomy Project.
When created in 1979, it was believed to be the first stone circle in the UK used for astronomy purposes in over 3,000 years.
The regeneration programme is set to finish in 2019 with 800 new houses being built in the progress and a new school.
